    I feel exceedingly sad. Like a chapter in my personal journey has closed with the passing of one of my favourite directors. Rituporno Ghosh, or Rituda as he was affectionately known in the film industry, passed away last week. At 49, his artistic brilliance was curtailed by his shockingly early demise.     I was first introduced to Rituporno's movies in 1993 when I was studying in a Sociology PhD programme at the University of Chicago.
